Hi there. This is a great question – and a challenging problem to overcome. If the window is clean enough, transparent and not etched/embossed or otherwise decorated then your iPhone should automatically focus on the subject beyond the window – provided you tap-and-hold on your iPhone’s screen to tell it where to focus. If it doesn’t then try the tap-and-hold technique to fix the focus – allowing it to focus on the window – then move your iPhone forward the same distance as the subject is beyond the window. This should bring the subject into sharp focus. I’d recommend a tripod or a very steady hand for this! Good luck.
